Comparing people’s happiness against income, the researchers found that the more money people earned, the higher their overall life satisfaction. But people’s day-to-day emotional state rose with average annual income only until about $75,000, after which additional income made no further difference.

Back in the game!

Yesterday I hosted an airsoft game at Wasaga Paintball and it was a lot of fun. We played a mix of skirmishes and scenarios and lol I got to screw with all the players by changing things up in the middle of the games. ;-) It’s alright everyone had a good time and even though I didn’t get a lot of shooting in (I find games run better when the host doesn’t play and can focus on hosting), I had fun as well.

I brought along my friend Bao for his first game and he was a BB magnet. :) That’s alright, that’s how it always starts off as novice players never know how to position themselves properly. For some reason the CA SCAR-L outer barrel detached from the body and it’s a good thing that Stephen brought some electrical tape. Heh the fix wasn’t pretty but it kept the barrel secure to the body.

Oh and a lesson not to buy cheap gear, the repro vest I lent Bao to use literally fell apart while I was cleaning it at home after the game and he wasn’t even hard on it!

Now that Brandon is with us, I’ll be playing less but that’s alright. :)

Getting better

Brandon’s heat rash is getting better and only over his stomach now. He’s been fussy the last few days, not surprising since it can’t be very comfortable to have a rash like that. :( Anyway here are some various pictures of the little guy, heh taking pictures of him is so much fun.

When I came home Maggie told me that Brandon had a ton of small red dots on his chest and stomach. It didn’t look too serious but in just in case I gave Telehealth Ontario and after talking to the nurse for about 10 minutes, she thinks that Brandon has a heat rash. Not surprising it’s been hot the last few days and well Maggie and her mom never want to have the AC on. Well it’s on now and I won’t allow them to bundle up Brandon as much anymore, I always thought it wasn’t necessary…

Hopefully the bumps will go away and he’ll be less fussy. If there are any updates, I will be sure to post them.

Garmin Foretrex 401

In late September I will be playing Brian’s 24 hour game at his new field and one thing I’m really bad at is getting lost (especially so in a wooded area where everything looks the same lol). To help me find my way, I picked up a Garmin Foretrex 401 personal wrist mounted GPS module.

It’s pretty damn cool and has a ton of features, most of which I have no idea how it works. ;-) Anyway I’ll give it a test run this Sunday at Wasaga and woo a new cool piece of kit! :)

A nice walk

I take probably 30-50 pictures of Brandon everyday because well it’s fun and anyway here are some more pictures of my son taken yesterday. :)

Today we went to Scarborough to pick up something for Maggie, went out for a quick bite to eat and I have to say that he was pretty good. Granted he slept most of the time we were there, even when he did cry it was very softly. :) After we took Brandon for a walk at Edward Gardens and it was fun. Maggie and her mom get tired quickly so we were only walking for about an hour but I have to say I really enjoyed it. :)

Baby’s sleep a lot and he slept through most of the journey, oh Maggie is wrapped with a blanket in one because Brandon got fussy and needed to eat something…
