Canon 70D

So earlier in the week my Canon 7D froze up and I couldn’t recover it so I went out and purchased a used Canon 70D. It’s less than 4 months old has a total shutter count of just under 1,400 and woo buying used saved me about $400-500.

The girl I bought it from was selling it with a newly purchased 50mm EF F/1.8 II lens, for $1,050 it’s not the best deal but it’s in great condition and something I could pick up right away. While it’s very close to the 7D, I wanted to familiarize myself with its options and settings before our big trip so I’ll be using it a lot the next couple of weeks.

I’m glad I got the 70D, I guess technically it’s a step down since this is a prosumer body instead of professional with the 7D but the 70D does excellent video and I’ve always wanted something better than our cell phones for that. Anyway I think in the long run I won out and got a more modern camera with better features. 🙂
