Today Mr. Charles Darwin turns 200 and he’s no doubt one of the greatest minds in history. His theory of natural selection and from that evolution has withstood the test of time and is continually proven right by the latest technologies available to us, it’s the gold standard for scentific theories and considered by most scientists (creationist scientists not withstanding) as fact.

Evolution at its core is so elegant and works very well at discribing how life has transitioned from the primitive singled cell LUCA (Last Unknown Common Ancestor) to all life forms that we see on the planet.

Here’s to you Charles, thanks for what you’ve done in helping us understand how life has evolved on this planet. 🙂
