Yesterday I went to aunt Jenny’s funeral and it was sad but it’s better that she’s gone. From what my dad told me, things were pretty rough for her the last few years and at least she’s at peace now. Maggie and Brandon stayed home, figure it’d be easier as getting him to sit still for 3+ hours would have been impossible. On that note, man was the kid cranky this weekend! Always wanted to be held and he was very fussy… Hope it’s just a one off type thing and not the start of a trend.

Heh even cranky he’s pretty darn cute. 😉 My mom brought Megan’s old Nintendo DS over to my place to use as distraction when feeding Brandon and we do the same.

On the weekend I also bought a vice from Canadian Tire, I needed something to clamp onto my PTW CQBR barrel so I could get the delta ring off (upper receiver broke completely when I tried to take it off) and it was successful woo! Later Jason came by to pick up his CQBR PTW, a repro KAC M5 RAS for his M16 and to drop off a ContourHD Ops-core Helmet adapter for me. Took a picture of the four Systema PTWs in my basement and I think they’re cool. 😀

Jason and I like our PTWs to look utilitarian so no fancy aftermarket rail systems or accessories, just what works. The camera mount works well but it does stick out a bit more than my old velcro setup… I worry that it’ll give away my position as I have to expose it when peeking left but I guess we’ll won’t we.

Back to the salt mines tomorrow and it’ll be my last week before starting my new job.
