On Saturday Maggie and I went out for dim sum and it was great. We haven’t gone out for that in a long time and really enjoyed it.
Maggie particularly likes “fong giao” (chicken feet), personally I think it’s gross and too much work for the little meat that you get to eat. Haha I’ve been told I eat dim sum like a Caucasian, I usually get the easier things to eat. 🙂
We were suppose to see a movie in the afternoon but I had gotten the Friday and Saturday show times wrong. 🙁 Since it was raining and cold Maggie didn’t feel like shopping so we ended the day early and went home.
CQB Competition
On Sunday I went down to TTAC3’s CQB competition and it was awesome. Brian moved the date just one week before the event and I thought it would mainly be TTAC3 players but was pleasantly surprised at the turnout. I would say there were probably 10 teams and many faces who I have not seen at TTAC3 before (have seen most on the field though).
As the guys were setting up, I took a few pictures. 😉 Hey they had more than enough bodies and I helped build the stuff on Friday.
The last picture was of Mike and I, GO TEAM SUPER COOL! 😀 There were three main events, timed target shooting, timed hostage rescue and 2 on 2 team challenge. We did well in the first two events (although I should have shot Patrick in the back in the hostage thing, he ran so slow ;)) but it was the 2 on 2 even that we did well.
Mark took a video of us going against Carl and Bartek (both of which are superb CQB players) and it showed us kick some ass. 😉 When I get myself a copy I’ll upload it here for you to see… In our second 2 on 2 it was a draw so both teams were eliminated.
While we didn’t win anything I was very happy with how we played. Mike was a great partner and it was a pleasure to compete in the competition with him. Thanks dude it was great and I look forward to building on what we learnt!
7:34PM Edit: Here is a link to a video of Mike and I going up against Carl and Bartek. Download is ~190MB, was going to convert it to DiVX but am too lazy. 😉
I’ll let you know when I’ll be in Toronto so you can take me out for dim sum!
As long as I’m not playing airsoft that’s cool, I would love to take you (and the rest of the family) for dim sum. 🙂
