So today was Megan’s xx birthday (haha I thinks he’ll kill me if I post her age but it’s not that old) and as a family we decided to have a BBQ at my home.  It’s near the end of the season so I figure why not spend it here where we can be outdoors than go to my mom’s condo.  Megan, Frank, Imran, Estelle & my mom came over and around 11:30am I fired up the BBQ.  Even though I suck at cooking, everyone said I did a good job which is nice to hear. 🙂

We didn’t have a cake and instead ate some Chinese deserts…  Not sure why we used a 2 candle but I guess that’s all that was available.  Estelle and I bought Megan a small exercise machine, something she can do while watching TV or perhaps even bring to work.  It’s fun and of course Brandon made a game of it.

The festivities ended around 3pm, we were all suffering from a meat coma so it made a lot of sense for us to go our separate ways.  After the company left, I decided to install the new LED license plate lights I got for the Mini, one of the old incandescent bulbs burnt out and if I were to bring it in to get replaced, I’m sure it’d cost around $100, the LED lights were only $30 and woo installed without issues.

In the afternoon Maggie took Brandon to the park and I joined them a bit later.  When we returned, Maggie wanted to return a few items so the boy and I went to the backyard to clean up all the pine cones that the tree shed and uh well we got about a quarter of it done.  We’ll tackle it daily so it’s not so bad, otherwise I’d kill my thighs with all the squatting.

I also had to deal with some difficult personal matters but more on that at a later date, this was a joyous day and I was happy to see everyone. 🙂
