So my father took Simba with him when he moved and Brandon wanted another pet so today we surprised him and went to the Toronto Humane Society along with Estelle & Megan and adopted a wonderful 2 month old kitten originally named Maxwell but who Brandon renamed Slinky. š
As we were walking around the cat section, it broke my heart to see so many animals in need of a good home… Ā There were a lot of aggressive cats that you could tell wanted to be adopted, Slinky is not the cat I would have chosen but it was Brandon’s choice and I think he made a good one. Ā Estelle & Megan approvedĀ of the choice and I’m thankful that they came along, always nice to share these experiences with loved ones.
When we got Slinky home, I immediately introduced him to the litter box and woo he used it twice today. Since we hung around the house the rest of the day, we were playing with him the whole afternoon and haha kittens remind me of Brandon, unlimited energy! Ā The little guy did take some power naps on my lap and on the sofa which was freaking cute to watch. Ā He purrs so loudly even when he’s sleeping and it’s fun to watch him twitch.
In the evening, Justin and his family came over to go trick or treating with us and the kids had a good time. Ā Slinky wasn’t too scared when we all returned and was wandering around among us like one of the family. Ā Ahh a good day, we welcomed a new member to our family and had a great haul in candy as well! š
