So today we’re patiently awaiting news about Georgia and nothing yet.  As I told Estelle, typical chick making everyone wait. 😉  Anyway this morning I watched the British Grand Prix and was happy that my favorite driver Lewis Hamilton won.  I always tell people, you can really tell the difference between good and lousy drivers by how they perform in the wet and Hamilton was lapping 1/2 second faster per lap Nico Rosberg his teammate who was holding up the rest of the field.

After the race, Maggie went to play badminton and Brandon and I did some math.  Argh, it’s certainly frustrating because he doesn’t pay attention and was making simple mistakes because of it.  At 11 we went to Chucky Cheese to celebrate Sophie’s 5th birthday and the kids had fun.

We left around 1PM, I wanted to give Brandon a few minutes to wind down before he went to swimming class.  I decided to skip that because I wanted to work on the rain barrels so Maggie and B went without me.

So I got uh some plastic plumbing parts to connect the two barrels, I was thinking about using a garden hose but figure it’d take too long to transfer water back and forth, this way the connecting pipe has an inner diameter of 1 1/2 inches which should allow things to flow nicely.  Unfortunately the ground around my first barrel is uneven and I drilled the opening too low so it was angled down, that meant I had to lower the second barrel and put a hole a bit higher, that means the bottom, ~20% of the water will not be accessible but meh that’s alright…  Afterwards it donned on me that I should have placed the outlets on the bottom and use elbow joints.  Maybe I can find a cap at Lowes and do that next year or for the two barrels I still have that I plan to use for the front yard.

A couple of weeks ago I picked up a level 3a black MICH helmet and decided to paint it tan.

It’s not as bright in person and I need to add more colour to it but yeah I’m pretty happy with how things turned out.  It’s not as comfy as my Ops-Core bump helmet, I think I’ll replace the straps with something else and I’m still on the fence if I should get a ballistic Ops-core or maybe a Crye AirFrame…  Why do I need something like this?  I don’t (I don’t need anything I have) but it’s fun! 😀

Anyway hopefully Georgia comes soon, if not we’ll be on notice for the next week or so I guess!
