With the outdoor airsoft season starting to heat up a lot of friends have recently expressed interest in trying airsoft out so that means I’m in need of a solid gun to act as a loaner. Yes I have quite a few guns as it is but nothing I’d want to lend out to a newbie, if this new one breaks well at least it was cheap. 😉
I just picked up a Combat Machine (G&G’s entry level subsidiary) M4A1, yeah I know another plain jane M4 but newbs like this type of gun and I already have mags/batteries. Here’s a few pics of the gun and next to the PTW to give you an idea at how it at least cosmetically matches up.
I’m told that the plastic body is fibre reinforced and it does feel more solid than TM/JG’s ABS plastic bodies but if you fall on Combat Machine M4 or bump it hard it’ll still break like most other AEGs; something I am a master of… The package comes with a longer than average 450 round hi cap magazine and 1000 rounds of 0.2g BBs. Out of the box it chronies in at 320 fps which is perfect for newbies, I won’t be upgrading this thing.
It does have one cool feature, when you fire the thing the fake bolt moves back and forward. Certainly a neat but gimmicky.
Anyway I’ll pull the gun apart to do a complete review later, it’s Sunday and I want to enjoy the rest of my weekend. 🙂
