So yesterday I arranged for my mom to take Brandon for the day & night so Maggie and I could spend some time together.  In the morning we went to Firearms Outlet Canada and as an early birthday gift to myself I picked up a S&J AR15 lower parts kit, a complete buffer tube assembly and a Magpul CTR stock.  Eventually I’ll replace the stock with a B5 SOPMOD but it’ll do for now.

Maggie and I went out for lunch and it was pretty nice to eat with just the two of us but lol we talked a lot about how we missed Brandon.  Went home afterwards and while she was watching some TV I built my lower. 😀

Picked up the Aero precision lower a few months ago because it was less than $100, can’t go wrong at that price and with the $~300 I spent yesterday I built myself good AR15 lower with quality parts in just over an hour and a half!  I think I’m going to put the PSA 10.5″ 7.62×39 upper on this lower becuase having it on my Colt lower just seems wrong.  With that said I now have a spare lower and it gives me more project ideas. 😉

We went to see Arrival at Fairview and I thought the movie was pretty good.  Interesting twist, I had an idea it was coming but still I enjoyed it though Maggie said she thought it was merely ok. We went for a bit of a drive at night and that was it.

My mom dropped Brandon off this morning and it was so good to give him a hug when he came through the door, I missed my boy. 🙂
