Yay!

I have 4 days vacation from 2016 that I need to use before the end of the month so instead of taking a block of time off, I’m taking every Friday off from today till the end of the month.  Anyway to pass the time this morning I went to Silverdale to do some shooting and the weather couldn’t have been better.  It was around -1C, I dress appropriately and with my armor on I was actualy a bit hot.

I practiced engaging multiple targets with good hits, doing it with a rifle is fairly easy so I spent a lot more time shooting the HK SFP9 and it was fun.

LOL there are actually three targets in the first photo, the wind blew one of them down…  I placed them close to begin with and later in the day I moved them a bit farther apart.  Took my FLIR monocular to the range so I could get some “cool” shots and I think guns came out pretty neat. 😉

I got home just after lunch, initially I was going to clean my guns but meh they’re not too dirty so instead I caught up on emails, yeah I might be off but if I don’t want to be swamped with emails on Monday it makes sense to tidy things up ahead of time.  For dinner we went out for Korean food, Brandon likes that stuff but then again he’s easy and will pretty much eat anything.

In the evening I was surfing CGN and saw someone post a Kimber Stainless 1911 for sale with 5 mags for $650 shipped, the gun looked like it was in great condition so I couldn’t let it pass.

Paid and sent over my license information to the seller, let’s see how long it takes the RCMP and CFO to approve the transfer.  It’s always a good day when I get to go shooting. 😀
