Busy weekend

Well I certainly had a busy weekend.  Saturday started bright and early, I went to the range with Laura though before picking her up I dropped by Mario’s place to drop off his Knights Armament RIS, two Norinco NP22 mags and got a Sig P226 mag in return.  The range was fun, I got to try my new Triggertech AR15 trigger and the Sig Sauer P226 though the weather was pretty lousy.

I actually didn’t like shooting the P226 that much, it seemed to have more recoil than my HK SFP9 which is odd since the latter has a plastic lower, maybe it’s the higher bore axis. Anyway we didn’t stay too long and by 11am, we were heading back home.  I wanted to be back for Brandon’s afternoon activities so timing worked out well.

After swimming I put together a small shelf and put it into a large closet in the kitchen.  Maggie previously just stacked stuff on top of each other and there was no way we would ever access things on the bottom, now there’s a lot more usable space.

Today was our Beavers/Cub scouts spring park cleanup and the kids were good.

The weather was ok though it was very windy and remarkably there was a lot less garbage than usual though as Scouter Ron noted, there were certainly a lot of bubble tea cups and straws.

When we returned I put together another shelving unit, this time it’s for the garage and would make it easier to store the tires for my car.  The instructions sucked but it was fairly easy to figure out and I think I have a winner here though I won’t know for sure till later when I pick up my Toyota, dropped it off earlier to get its tires changed.

We chilled the rest of the evening and it’s back to work tomorrow.  Not really looking forward to it but that’s how it goes and I didn’t win the lottery yet. 😉
