On Saturday Jessie, Jason, Maggie and I hit the CNE and it was a lot of fun. We didn’t play many of the games or go on the rides (I guess we’re a bit old for the cheesy CNE rides…) but it was fun to walk around, see the various nick nack stuff that’s for sale and watch the planes fly above.
Sigh shopping with chicks can be so boring but misery loves company. The Tornado potato chip/fry thing was pretty cool though it was really greasy.
On the grounds there was also a Canadian Forces pavilion and there were a lot of neat vehicles on display.
Yes I am in line to sit in the CF-18 cockpit with the rest of the kids. Maggie kept saying how childish I was but whatever it’s cool right? Heh it brings out the child in all men. 😉
Sigh in typical “Chinese fashion” Maggie, Jessie and Jason stood in line for 30-45 minutes to win $5 Subway gift cards… LOL too bad I didn’t take a picture of the line but man we waited a long time. That’s ok though I got some really nice pictures of the planes flying above the exhibition grounds.
The pictures were taken while we were walking on the fair grounds, I could have done a better job if I went to the CNE simply to take pictures of the planes but there were many that well so I’m happy. =) The F22 Raptor was definitely the star of the show, it was amazing to see what that plane is capable of, too bad my SLR can’t do video.
Anyway thanks to Jessie and Jason for coming with Maggie and I, the company was definitely appreciated and we had a great day.
I really like how you juxtapose waiting in line to sit in the jet to waiting in line for a $5 card. Funny stuff. Personally I’d be more excited for the former!
