So a couple of weeks ago I got rid of my Canon EF 50mm F1.8 II and today I picked up a Canon EF 50mm F1.8 STM.  Haha the optics are the same yes but the build quality on the new STM lens is much better and quieter too.

Mmm, F1.8 goodness is great, I wish I had more fast lenses but oh well I got to make due with what I have…
