Impromptu Photography Walk

Yesterday on a whim I decide to go for a photography walk and it turned out really well but before that I snapped these pictures of a snail just outside my house with the Canon 100mm F2.8L IS macro lens.

The first two shots were at F11, the third was at F22 and the camera had to use a much higher ISO to account for the small aperture.

I walked through the parks on Lake Shore Blvd then through the parkettes on Queens Quay and for dinner made my way to Chinatown where I tried my hand at some long exposure light trails photography.  I set up a Manfrotto tripod on the side out of the way and took some 30 second exposures which was a ton of fun.  The birds downtown are also ok with people walking around and I was able to get up nice and close to snap some neat pictures, one black bird with red shoulders I think was doing a mating dance, it was really fun to watch and well anyway I took a lot of pics. 🙂

Walking around to take photos is so relaxing, my feet hurt now but doing this really does put me at ease. 🙂
