So a couple of weeks ago I saw a Canon Digital Rebel XTi for sale for cheap and well I just had to pick it up.

Like the Canon S500 Digital Elph I bought a couple of months ago, I don’t think I’ll actually use this thing but man it brings back a lot of great memories and I wish I never got rid of my original.  Funny, the Rebel SL2 is suppose to be the smallest SLR on the market and it’s the same size as the XTi.  Anyway it’s a 10.1 mega pixel camera mated to an old Canon EF-S 18-55mm IS lens which optically is meh but you know what I took a lot of great pictures with my old camera and this can still kick a lot of ass.

Even though it’s so old, with the larger sensor the quality of the photos will be much better than cell phones, maybe I’ll let Brandon use this one as he’s always fighting with Maggie for the SL2.  Now he can learn with the same platform I used many years ago…  We’ll see maybe I’ll just keep it as a momento, it’s in great shape and like I said brings back a lot of great memories. 😀
