On Saturday I went for a hike through the Rouge Valley with some colleagues from work and it was a lot of fun!  In just over 3 hours we traversed ~14km, lol even though they weren’t use to hiking they kept up and didn’t complain too much lol.  The weather could have been better but the light showers helped cool us down while we were climbing hills.

I think initially 8-10 people were suppose to go but lol I guess the rest wanted to sleep in on a Saturday.  Shafi & Mathew ran up the hill, it’s much steeper than it looks in photos and good for them, I probably would have had a heart attack if I did that lol.

While I was away at the hike, Maggie took Brandon to his first boxing class and he loved it too.  Going to see if I can move some things around so he can do more BJJ & boxing, that’d be really cool.

Today in the morning I watched the F1 race then after I changed the oil in the Toyota Prius.  I won’t do it again, it’s not hard but after 5L of oil & the oil filter, the cost is ~$100 while if I go to my mechanic it’s only $60 so it doesn’t make much sense but it was fun to do.

Hehe I got Brandon to help me jack the car up and he was amazed that using the hydraulic jack, that he could lift something as heavy as the front end of a car. Again it was a great learning experience, I don’t think I’ll do the Lexus when it’s due next because Anthony is much cheaper and easier but at least I know how to do it now.

Maggie had to go out in the afternoon so it was just the boy and I, we wrestled a bit and he showed me his boxing but other than that it was a pretty relaxing afternoon.  LOL too bad the weekend is over already but that’s alright, I like work and it’ll be fun to rip on those who couldn’t make the hike.
