So for the Thanksgiving weekend, we spent a lot of time with family and as I grow older, is all I care about. Saturday after Brandon’s morning activities Maggie wanted to check out the Devil’s punch bowl and since we had no plans why not. The trek was fun and I could tell that Brandon was a bit scared when hiking the path since it got pretty narrow at times along with a steep drop off one side but we all survived and it was fun.
I was using the Canon 16-35 F4L IS for the first pic so Brandon’s a bit distorted and looking much taller than he really is lol.
While we were there, a couple tried to scale down the punch bowl through a really steep gravel path and maybe 1/4 way down the girl decided she didn’t want to go any further. I did tell to tell them to scale down the brush so they can grab onto something but they turned around. While we were leaving I could hear her whimpering, sad and I hope they got back to the top alright.
Yesterday we took things pretty easy but went to the Old Mill to see the salmon swim to their spawn location and well it seems like a lot of other people had the same idea.
Brandon wanted to take some shots too and was running the Canon SL2 & the EF-S 55-250mm lens, his shots turned out pretty well but I’ll post those tomorrow. We were there for about 2 hours, walked around the park a bit then just called it and went home.
Today we had a small Thanksgiving celebration at Megan’s house and that was fun too. Lily is getting chubbier, Georgia is always fun to be with and Brandon is so good with little kids. As I grow older, I feel more and more lucky with how my life has turned out so far.
It’s easy to take great photos when I have such great subjects to shoot. We didn’t do much the rest of the day, Maggie had to work unfortunately (doing some quarter end stuff) so we just relaxed at home and lol I’m sad my long weekend’s done but it really couldn’t have gone any better.
