I wanted a quiet weekend but it ended up being pretty busy.  Yesterday we had Brandon’s usual list of activities and in the middle I went to pick up a second Canon 580EX II flash.  I want to get a third flash as I think it’ll really help me with some macro photography I may want to do and well that means I also picked up another Canon EF 100mm F2.8L IS Macro lens.  I looked at the Canon RF 35mm F1.8 IS STM but it’s not a true macro since it doesn’t do 1:1 scale and there’s noting really better than the Canon 100mm on the market at the moment.

Anyway the lens is mint and man I really missed macro work, it’s so much fun!

The first picture is of boiling water, then of Slinky and the bush in front of my house, hehe this thing is so much fun to use and man even on the EOS R it’s very sharp!

With the snowfall today, I also took a picture of Brandon simply because I thought it’d look cool.  I told him to “look serious” and well yeah he delivered!  While there was a few cm of accumulation, I doubt by this time tomorrow if there will be anything left on the ground since it’s suppose to be like 6 or 7C tomorrow.

Cleaned my basement a bit then relaxed with the boy, overall a fun weekend even if I didn’t get to relax as much as I wanted to.
