So this family day was a rather busy one. Saturday started with Brandon’s regular routine, piano lessons, Kumon them some time at Action Reaction MMA.
The bigger kids are pretty nice and tolerate the smaller ones like Brandon lol. Saturday afternoon was mainly cleaning, tidied some things up. We’ve been playing a lot of card games at home recently and it’s been interesting to see Brandon’s competitiveness come out. Sunday was more of the same for most of the day, Maggie went to play badminton while the boy and I hung around the house.
In the late afternoon evening, Brandon and I went to pick up Mario then we went to the Terra Lumina event at the Toronto zoo and it was a lot of fun. The first time I brought Brandon to one of my photography walks and I have to say I rather enjoyed having him there!
For $30 per adult ($24 for B), I thought it was a bit expensive and short but it was still an enjoyable experience. I don’t think I’d go back next year if they do it again, I guess we’ll see. The weather was hovering around 0 so the 3 of us were overdressed but better to be too warm than cold in a situation like this. Brandon took a bunch of photos with his Canon T4i and they turned out really well, I’ll post them a bit later. With the various light sources I was able to do some “creative” shooting, I’ll post the boy’s photos later but now I wonder if I should get him something better lol.
Today Maggie had to go into the office unfortunately so I took Brandon to Ripley’s Aquarium because well he love animals especially sea life.
We go there almost every year so I didn’t take that many photos but Brandon sure likes to snap away. After walking through the facility we looked at some of the train cars across the street at the Steam whistle brewery then went home.
I spent a ton of time with the boy and he’s just so much damn fun, I’m glad we have hobbies we can share together. 🙂
