Black lives matter and it must be said because over and over because frankly they don’t really seem to matter in Western society.  I wish I was able to attend the BLM protest in Toronto today, it’s important and the latest victims were George Floyd in the US and Regis Korchinski-Paquet in Toronto.  Still waiting for information on the latter’s death but the former was clearly murder and it’s not good enough for one police officer to be charged, the others present should be as well as they’re accessories to a murder.

No not all police officers are bad, I have friends who are cops but there are some bad ones and it’s up to the good ones to stand up and stop criminal behavior.  Especially in the US were black parents need to teach their children to remain clam when dealing with other races or authority figures & where black people die for trivial matters, what type of society is that when such a large group of people are singled out and continually disenfranchised?

I’m not black and I don’t have to be to weep for those who have died unjustly.  Family & friends left shattered, over what, trivial matters that I know I don’t have to worry about.  That’s what privilege means, not that someone got a leg up because of their luck of birth but rather having the privilege of not being followed by security when I go into a store, stopped if I had a nice car or looked upon with fear just for being me.

Black lives matter, black lives matter, black lives mater…  They really do and my black brothers and sisters can always count on my support to fight this systemic racism and injustice!
