There are a lot of things to be outraged about in the world right now which is why the Liberal government thought it’d be the perfect time to exempt oil companies from environmental assessments.

The federal government has announced a change it expects will help Newfoundland and Labrador’s oil and gas industry as it struggles to stay on its feet.

A new regulation means environmental assessments for exploratory drilling offshore will be done more quickly, by exempting offshore drilling in Newfoundland and Labrador from federal environmental impact assessments.

But it’s ok because Justin Trudeau says the right things, he’s part of the team…  If the Conservatives did this, the Liberals (and their supporters) would freak the hell out, talk about how evil the Conservatives are and such but since it’s the Libs, it’s crickets…  I’m not a hypocrite, I call out both parties and this is wrong whether you like the Liberals or not.
