Today’s sun and heat was a preview to come of this summer (hopefully) and it started early for Brandon and I.  We went to the lower Don park and rode our bikes to where the DVP merges to the gardiner, neither of us did that ride before and it was quite enjoyable.  There were a ton of people out and about so we did our best to keep our distance.

I was pretty tired after that bike ride, I slept poorly last night and was quite groggy at times ahh well tough life eh.  In the afternoon we went for a drive and while the Toyota Prius is the opposite of a thrilling ride, it does give me great pleasure in how economical and efficient it is!  The round trip was just over 200km and I averaged 4.3L/100km!  I filled up after the bike ride (didn’t know if we’d go out again) so I had a full tank and wanted to see how accurate the computer was (I’m a nerd it’s fun) and it was bang on, 8.6L back into the car.

When we got back I did the exciting routine of topping up all the rechargeable batteries in the house and did some organizing in the basement.  Sigh back to the grind tomorrow but at least it’ll be a short week and I have a long weekend to look forward to. 🙂
