Going on a road trip with our new Lexus NX 200t F Sport series 3 (well it’s not new new, it’s a 2017 that we purchased used) the day after I picked it up may not have been the smartest thing to do but it’s a Lexus right so it should be pretty bulletproof. The added room and more comfortable seating is appreciated on long drives and we put just over 5,500 km on it, so I got to know the car pretty well.  It’s certainly a lot more fun to drive than the Toyota Prius with more power but yes it does use a lot more gas which sucks.  Driving like a grandpa though, I was able to average 7.5-7.7L / 100km which is great for a car that weighs 4,000 lbs though quite a bit more than the 4.7L / 100km I’d probably get in the gas sipping Prius.

We could have taken Maggie’s Lexus CT 200h, that thing is great on gas too but I wanted to drive my new car right…

It’s still novel & I enjoyed taking photos of it during the trip but it irked me that the dealer didn’t install the proper license plate bracket so the front plate was off center!  As you can see in the 4th picture I rectified that when I got home and that pic was from Saturday when I went to take some photos of osprey with Mario but more on that in another post.

It’s a sweet ride, looks great and super comfy but since it chugs gasoline it’ll be our secondary car…  once I’m done having fun and it’s just another form of transportation. 😉
