So for everyone else I’m sure this is absolutely trivial but to me it’s pretty upsetting… My company is moving completely to a work from home structure and it asked the staff to come back and clean out their desks. I went a couple of weeks ago and to my horror there was some grease spilt on my desk damaging my most prized drawing from Brandon.
It’s a picture of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles that he drew when he was like 3 or 4, he loved that show and I always found thought it was sweet that the good guys had smiles on their faces while the bad guys didn’t. It’s a trend that continues to this day, his stuff is generally very happy and I kept this at work because every time I look at it, it makes me happy.
I left it out, hoping the affected area would dry out but it instead spread so I made the tough decision to cut it to save the rest. I know in the grand scheme of things it’s not a big deal but it’s sentimental value is incalculable. I always told Maggie when I die I want this drawing to be buried with me. It was a hard decision but I had to sacrifice Donnie to save the rest.
