Not sexy but important

Today I picked up a new set of Michelin X-Ice Snow SUV winter tires from Active Green & Ross.  They’re 225/65/R17, I’m going down an inch on the rim size but the side wall is thicker so the speedometer will still display the right speed.  I didn’t have them installed onto the Lexus NX yet, it’s too warm for that but glad I bought a set since like everything else there’s a shortage of winter tires and I don’t want to be stuck with snow on the ground still running my all seasons.  DOT is either 3021 or 3121 (end of July) so they’re about as new as you can get them. 🙂

They’re on a used set of 17″ 2005 Lexus RX rims, I checked the wheel specs and they’ll fit on the NX.  Haha since I have a fancier car now, I wanted something nicer than a set of steel wheels oh how I’ve become vain…  I got the proper Lexus OEM TPMS sensors installed as well, I’m suppose to be able to update the computer with my Carista OBDII scanner but if I can’t, Anthony said he’ll take care of it for me.  I guess I’m pretty set for the incoming cold weather, the winter tires for Maggie’s car are only 1 season old so she’s in good shape as well.
