Mark Carney has been voted in as the next Liberal party of Canada leader and will become the next PM despite having told Liberal supporters no real policy positions…  Funny because I remember Liberals complaining about the lack of policy from Pierre Poilievre but Carney well that’s ok.  To be fair the few policy positions that he has released (along with the other Liberal leadership candidates) have stolen a lot of what PP has proposed, I guess that’s ok since it’s good policy but yeah it’s kind of funny to watch the Liberals run away from everything they’ve stood for in the last 9 years.

Unfortunately Trump has shaken politics up in Canada and looks Liberal fortunes are on the rise, I certainly hope come election time people aren’t fooled by the same people who are now running on almost a completely opposite platform.

On the Conservative side, PP really needs to stop talking about the carbon tax.  You won, talk about how even without being in government, you’re able to get everyone to drop that lousy policy but talk more broadly about affordability or how the last 9 years of Liberal rule has left Canada weak and vulnerable to Trump and his antics.  Sigh what a mess but it appears team sport politics is most important and it’s maddening.
