Well I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the United States is going backwards in terms of progress.  I understand why people may be pro life (even if I do not agree on it) but if this bill becomes law…  well then South Dakota anyway is no better than the backwards countries in the middle east or Africa.

“This code deals with illegal acts,” he said before an afternoon legislative battle over the bill. “Abortion is legal, so it has nothing to do with abortion.”

Nevertheless, Democrats in the legislation were introducing another amendment Tuesday to specifically exclude abortion providers.

“The bill in South Dakota is an invitation to murder abortion providers,” Vicki Saporta, the president of the National Abortion Federation, the professional association of abortion providers, told Mother Jones magazine.

Yeah something tells me that even though this bill is suppose to address “illegal acts” only, I bet it’d still embolden the extreme pro lifers.  I hate the idea of people using abortion as a form of birth control but that’s no one else business other than the parents only.  Sigh it’s only a matter of time before the US becomes a religious Christian state and yes that is as bad for the world as a powerful Islamic country.
