Long weekends go too quickly…

Sigh as usual long weekends go too quickly huh… I certainly had a busy but enjoyable long weekend.

On Saturday, Jessie met Maggie & I at our place and we went to Buffalo to do a bit of shopping as Maggie wanted to go one last time before she goes back to work and it was alright. On the way there the Burlington skybridge was closed down and the detour we were forced to take added about an hour to the commute and because of that we got to the border late which took another hour to go through. We picked up quite a few toys for Brandon along with a really cute green dragon costume, which he’ll wear this coming Halloween. ๐Ÿ™‚ The ride back was nice and quick, good thing as I was pretty tired from being behind the wheel much of the day.

Sunday Maggie, Brandon & I met up with Estelle & Imran for lunch. There we officially asked them to be Brandon’s god parents, if anything happens to Maggie and I, I know they’d love him like he was their son and do a good job. ๐Ÿ™‚ Afterwards, Maggie took Brandon for a walk while I went to Best Buy to get some money back for the ContourHD camera I purchased about two weeks ago. I originally bought the thing for $279.99 but it went on sale this week for $149.99 and since Best Buy offers a price matching guarantee I got the difference back which was nice. ๐Ÿ˜€ Afterwards I went to Home Depot to pick up a new kitchen faucet then picked up the family and went home.

Today we decided to head down to the beach and enjoy the good weather and we invited Jessie, Jason and Logan to come along. Initially I wanted the kids to play in the water but we ended up walking along the boardwalk and that was fun. A bit later heading back, there was a really obnoxious cyclist who mentioned that we were crossing a bike lane, I chimed in that it’s for everyone, not just cyclists. What a bitch man…

Here are some pictures from today, hehe Brandon likes ice cream.

Spending lots of time with the family and it’s been wonderful… though I have missed playing airsoft. ๐Ÿ˜‰
