So I haven’t posted about religion or the United States much recently as I’ve been too busy enjoying my life but I ran across this article today and had a “what the fuck?!?” moment. You want to know why the US is going backwards in terms of progress? Well check this out!

A new Gallup poll reveals that three out of ten Americans believe the Bible to be the actual word of God, to be interpreted literally, word for word. These results are relatively consistent with recent results, but down from the peak levels in 1980 and 1984 when 40 percent of Americans said they took the Bible literally.

If you read my blog regularly you know I’m pretty anti religion but that type of stat just baffles me… It bothers me that religious fundamentalism is creeping into Canadian society too. I have no problem with one believing in a deity but when you take religious texts literally, that’s when problems arise.

On another note little B is doing well, he has a bit of a shiner but he’s not letting it slow him down and he’s being as cute as ever. 🙂
