Heh I know it’s a bit late to be talking about the weekend but I was super busy yesterday so too bad. 😉
On Friday it was Brandon’s 2nd birthday and man I have a really good son. I guess all parents are proud of their kids, I know I certainly am. When I got home, I took Brandon for a walk as usual, there was a bit of intermittent rain but it wasn’t too bad and he likes to splash around in the water.
I was hoping to go out for dinner but due to the TTC Maggie came home very late.
Saturday we relaxed for most of the day, in the evening we went to Andrew and Odessa’s wedding reception and that was fun. Cocktails started at 5PM so we decided to arrive at 6PM as I knew Bradon would be a handful to deal with if we went earlier. For most of the night the little guy was restless (he didn’t nape well in the afternoon) and kept wanting to go outside or run around the dance area. Luckily the flower girl was only a bit older than Brandon and they kept running around keeping everyone entertained. At one point the two of them stood in the center of the dance floor looking at each other and I thought she would kiss him (since she likes to kiss people) but he turned and ran. LOL I guess little B doesn’t like to be tied down! 😉
Hehe I told Jason that the little girl seemed to prefer Brandon over Logan so score one for B haha! 😀
I tried to get some video of it however everytime I did, Brandon would run towards me and drag me somewhere…
The reception was wonderful and it was nice to see everyone. Andrew & Odessa hired a harpist and she was very good, from playing classical to modern pop she definitely was pretty cool. We called it quits around 9:15 PM as B was very fussy and definitely tired.
On Sunday I had my folks, sisters and grandmother come over to my house to celebrate Brandon’s birthday and it was fun. Estelle & Megan went in together to buy him a Thomas the Tank Engine play set (he loves that stuff) and we even had a Thomas cake. 🙂 He definitely loved the toys and had to bring one of the trains with him to sleep lol.
Unfortunately he was too excited and didn’t nap well so he was a nightmare Sunday night but meh what can you do right.
Very fun but busy weekend, I told Maggie I’m looking forward to this coming weekend when we have nothing planned! 😀
