So yesterday afternoon Jessie and Jason brought Logan over so he and Brandon could have a play date. Both kids had just awoken from their afternoon naps and were a bit grump, lol though it took Logan a bit longer to warm up. For the first little while it was basically Brandon getting protective of his toys, pretty funny to watch because both kids were pretty greedy but I understand, little B had to protect his turf haha.
Later while the kids were playing, Jason and I went downstairs and there I gave him a replica of the S&S Precision LBT 6094 kangaroo insert. Finding someone who will ship the real thing to Canada has so far been impossible, the replica was cheap so I figure I’d pick up two and see how they are before going the real route. It’s designed for the 6094A so it’s a bit loose on my 6094B and I had to reinforce the velcro for it to work with my vest but it inserted like a charm in Jason’s 6094A. It doubles his mag carrying capacity to 6 mags on the vest which helps for games where we need to lug a lot of ammo. I don’t like the look too much so I don’t know if I’ll use mine yet but who knows it was cheap anyway.
Getting back to the kids after about an hour both kids started to warm up to each other and began to play. It was mainly Logan and Brandon running around the house but it was cute to watch and hear them laugh.
Later Jason and I went out to pick up some take out and on our way out, my mother in law gave me a Lotto 649 sheet and some money. When I get to the convenience store, the clerk asked me how old I was and he was surprised when I told him I was 33. He later made a remark how he thought Jason was my father and you could see it in his face he wasn’t pleased. I couldn’t stop laughing though and told the girls when I got back. 😉
Brandon is afraid of this stuffed yellow dog that we got from Aunt Rosetta, so I use it as a form of punishment and if he’s bad I will bring out the yellow dog and he runs in fear into hiding. Anyway he was acting up after dinner so I brought it out and surprisingly Logan was afraid of the yellow dog too! It was pretty funny to see both kids scared though Brandon was definitely more so.
We called it a night at around 7:30PM, you could see Brandon was getting tired and Jessie mentioned how she wanted to give Logan a bath before bed time.
After they left, Maggie put little B to sleep and I went to the basement… LOL spent the rest of the night reconfiguring my vest, I moved the Nacre QuietPro control box from the center of my vest to my top left shoulder area. It’s not an ideal location however it’s out of the way of the rest of my gear and still easy to reach when I need to use comms. Secured the device with some zip ties, looks a bit ghetto but who cares if it works right.
All in all a good Saturday, today I’ve been a bit lazy but I’ll post about that tomorrow. 🙂
