Man did I have a busy day today!
It’s funny, as a kid I always thought my personal hell was gardening as I hated it so much growing up but now I find it’s not so bad… A large part is due to the disappearance of my hay fever, when I was young I use to get all the symptoms, itchy eyes, itchy skin, watery nose and all that fun stuff. To make matters worse, I didn’t know it was hay fever at the time so I never took any anti histamine drugs. Now that I don’t have problems with the outdoors anymore I absolutely love being outside.
With that said Maggie’s mom likes gardening and now that I own a house, I need to make it look good so we went to the Sheridan Nurseries on Highway 7. I walked a bit with Maggie and her mom, they were interested in looking at all the flowering plants (chicks lol) and a bit later, Brandon and I wandered off to look at some Cedar trees. I don’t know much about plants so I don’t know what types of Cedar trees these are but I want them to plant at my properly line to use as a privacy screen for my backyard. I have nice neighbors but yeah the backyards are very open and lol I’d prefer to have a bit more privacy. 😉
Hehe in the last one, Brandon is excited to see the large gold fish.
A bit later we met my mom and grandmother for dim sum and it was fun! Sigh it’s a bit sad, grandma’s health has really declined in the last few years and I don’t know how much time we have left so whenever we have an opportunity to get together, I’m always let her play with Brandon because you can see how much joy there is.
After we dropped Maggie’s mom and Brandon at home and went to Newmarket to visit Maggie’s friend Linda. She’s doing our taxes for us (why Maggie didn’t do it or get someone closer I don’t know) and we had to go sign some papers, since we were in the area we also went to see a movie at the Newmarket Silver City. I’ve always liked those post apocalyptic type movies so we went to see The Colony and it was terrible. I’ll take the blame for that one but yes it was quite lousy so don’t see it haha.
On the way home we picked up some dinner and ate quickly so Maggie and I could take Brandon out one last time for the day. This is the first weekend with nice weather this year and you can bet we’re going to do our best to take advantage of it.
There were a lot of big kids at the playground so we went to the little kid area and Brandon was running around the flower bed with this other little girl. LOL don’t worry there’s a clear path between the flowers and it was pretty cute to watch.
Maggie put the little guy to sleep and now just resting the rest of the evening… Very busy but yeah it was a lot of fun, I love spending time with my family. 🙂
