On Saturday we went to Amanda and Ray’s place to celebrate aunt Rosetta’s 70th birthday and it was fun. Ray BBQ’ed and lol it made me want to buy a barbeque because it looked like fun, I just can’t cook so I don’t know how it would go if I did it. Brandon certainly enjoyed playing with Ethan and Emily’s toys, and those two are always so good to him so we bought them some toys as a way of saying thank you. 🙂
Brandon didn’t take a nap in the afternoon and was starting to act up so we left around 7:30PM.
On Sunday I mowed the lawn in the morning and was surprised that my battery powered Black & Decker 36V mower ran out of juice! It wasn’t completely dead however I couldn’t mow any further after completing about 80% because the motor was going to cut out. I guess it was a combination of having the grass very long (mowed it two weeks ago) and the morning dew which killed the system so I stopped and plugged it back in to charge.
In the afternoon we went to Jason’s mom’s house to celebrate Logan’s 3rd birthday and it was fun. Jessie invited about 12-15 kids so while there were a lot of young ones, there were even more parents! Most of the kids were around Brandon’s age, there were a couple who were older and few that were younger but all in all the kids played well together. Err well perhaps not together but in close proximity of each other haha…
🙂 I’m so proud of my little guy but then again I guess all parents are… We left around 5, Brandon was playing in the sun all afternoon and was starting to burn so we called it early. One thing is for sure, I do not want to do a big birthday party, god it looked like a nightmare to coordinate!
After I came home, I finished mowing the lawn, took a shower and then cleaned some of the mold in the bathroom.
All in all a busy but fun weekend. 🙂
On another note, my mom told me that aunt Dora has really improved. She’s still in coronary care but could be transferred to a regular room in one or two days which is great! I’m very happy that she’s getting better, sigh I guess it’s inevitable but whenever something like this strikes someone close it hurts everyone too.
