Yesterday I went to play a dusk/night game at Flag Raiders and it was a lot of fun. Chris was hosting and testing new medic rules that would more simulate combat casualties and for the most part it went very well. The stress of bandaging up teammates, then extracting them under fire added a new element to the game and at first the teams were stretched a bit thin but later we learnt to move more carefully together.
The weather was great but the field was very humid and everyone had problems with fogging and I think all the night vision units were fogging on the field too. I know I couldn’t see anything through my PVS-14 (first time it’s happened) and I know a few other guys had issues with their NODs as well.
It was also potentially Mario’s last airsoft game for the next couple of years, he’s going back to school and with work on the weekends I don’t think he’ll have much time to game. Before things officially started a few of us had a terminator game for Mario and that was pretty awesome, I know I shot him up a lot. 😉
Things ended around 2AM, I went with the guys to get some food at BK then went home to rest… Keiko was taking pictures as always and when they’re available I’ll post them here.
Today Maggie and I decided to bring Brandon to the Scarborough bluffs again, when we did earlier in the year he had a blast feeding the birds and thought he would enjoy it again. 🙂 The weather was beautiful and before we saw the birds, we went for a nice long walk…
There was a nice breeze coming off the lake and I really enjoyed walking around with Brandon. 🙂 A bit later went to feed the birds and he had a blast.
Hehe one of the birds ate a piece of bread out of Brandon’s hand and clipped his fingers slightly to which he said “Ouch, the bird bite my fingers” lol. It was so cute, they don’t bite hard and I’m sure he was more started than anything else man I just love spending time with B, he’s so amazing.
