So the IPCC released its latest findings and again it says that humans are the cause of global warming but I feel the climate skeptics will still bury their heads into the sand and claim that nothing is wrong…
The new report leaves no doubt that a storm is brewing. It is unequivocal – temperatures are rising and human activity is to blame. Without drastic action to curb emissions, it says, the world faces a century of strong warming, in which glaciers and ice sheets melt, sea levels rise, the oceans acidify, weather systems shift and rainfall patterns change.
The most dramatic difference in the forecasts since the 2007 report concerns the rising seas. In 2007, the panel estimated that global sea levels would rise by up to 59 centimetres by 2100. This year’s report finds that number could be as high as 97 centimetres.

Along with the rise in temperatures, I think the above is freaking scary… So much of the world’s population lives close to a coast line, I don’t even want to think what we will do with so many displaced people. If you’re interested in learning further on climate change, NewScientist has put together a pretty good guide to the 2013 climate change report and it’s worth checking out.
In reality it doesn’t matter what we feel or believe as the cost of inaction is too great if the skeptics are wrong…
