Many of you know I’m a huge astronomy nut and this is pretty big news. It looks like physicists theory on inflation was correct according to the WMAP satellite which studied the cosmic microwave background (CMB). For those who do not know what inflation stands for, a trillionth of a second after the big bang, the universe went through tremendous expansion to almost as large as the universe is today.

Heh I’m not going to pretend I know how that is possible but it’s certainly interesting to read. If you have some time, check out the article it contains a ton of excellent information!

I guess under certain circumstances, faster than light travel is possible… 😀
