Well I certainly had a pretty kick ass weekend and no airsoft was involved! š On Friday, Phil took me to an Air Canada flight training center at the airport and we were allowed to play on a 767 simulator! You get to sit in a cockpit and have the same controls as an actual plane.
Let me say when I was sitting there in the cockpit, everything was overwhelming. There are hundreds of controls and little switches everywhere, good thing I had Phil sitting next to me handling all the ālittleā things. š I tried landing the plan on the 401 just for the fun of it and while I was told I probably got the landing right, the computer registered a crash since youāre suppose to land on a runway.
I was successful in landing twice at Pearson although one time I had a tail strike (still computer registered things would be ok). Words really cannot describe how much fun it was and that two hours went felt like 10 minutes. Haha playing an air sim on my computer will no longer be fun anymore, thanks a lot dude. š
Here are a few pics I snapped up, oh man I so canāt wait to go again!
Here is a video taken of me flying, lol it’s a bit fuzzy and rough but you get the idea. š
For the most part on Saturday I spent a leisurely day at home, I tried fixing Marioās laptop unfortunately one of the screws inside was stripped and thereās nothing I can do. Perhaps Iāll drill it out, anyway for dinner the team went out to Philās restaurant Green Mango on Yonge and Bloor. Nice place and it was great to see the guys, err Shawn, Mario, JR and Jeremy couldnāt make it but oh well the rest of us had fun. š
Phil ordered a ton of food for everyone and I got to show the guys that I can handle spicy food. Haha Charlene and Jason tried some of the āspecialā peppers and their faces were hilarious. Yes I did take pics but I wonāt post them to be nice. š
The food not just tasted great, presentation was also top notch! Donāt they look good? š
Sorry no pics of the main course because well everyone was busy chatting and eating. Still you should get the idea, it looks absolutely wonderful. The rest of the night was spent chatting away, the guys were talking about airsoft of course and listening to Philās experience with real steel and being a member of IPSC, the ladies were playing with Nintendo DSā and other girly stuff I would assume. š
Sunday I didnāt do much, played a bit of C&C3 along with updating the blog pages. Added a Team GHOSTS page which briefly talks about the airsoft team, itās lacking in details right now and Iāll update it later. Man I never thought Iād have so much fun without shooting someone. š
