I was dying of anticipation of my family returning and when I heard the door open, I immediately ran up to greet everyone. Hehe Brandon was slowly walking towards the house and when he saw me, he started to run towards me with his arms forward and gave me the biggest hug. It was so sweet and I was very happy to hold my little guy again.

Everyone was pretty tired from the trip so we spent the evening at home. Brandon was excited to see some presents for him under our Christmas tree and asked “Are those for me?!”, it was pretty cute.

Hehe he’s so sweet when he’s sleeping… Anyway after everyone went to bed, Maggie came down and we talked about how bad the storm was and how I wanted to buy a generator (even though we weren’t affected, it’s still a useful thing to have) and possibly outfit our home with solar panels on the roof so we can generate our own electricity. She agreed it was a good idea, we want to renovate the bathroom and possibly the basement in 2014 so I don’t think we’ll do it next year but in the near future I plan on equipping my home with solar panels. 🙂

I also used the ice storm as an excuse to improve our SHTF supplies, she liked the little Primus stove Henry picked up for me from Le Baron but I wanted something I could easily use for airsoft or camping so today I went down to MEC and bought a Jetboil Aluminum cooking system and 5 small 100g fuel tanks. At a later time, I will pick up some more larger fuel tanks for home use but the 5 cans should be sufficient for my camping needs at least for now.

Hehe I love new toys. 😉 Anyway a lot of the guys are using Jetboils so I figure I’ll get my own too. Dunno what else Maggie has planned today but I hope it’s quiet because I’m playing tomorrow.
