So today I took Andrew and his gf Sarah to Silverdale to shoot for their first time and it was a lot of fun. 😀 They got to shoot everything I have and while it’s harder to shoot a pistol, they seemed to particularly like my Glock 17. It’s the first time I took out and I’m quite happy with the way it shot as well, I’ve done a ton of dry firing so the flinch that newbies have is almost gone, I just need to work more on my grip and consistency.

Andrew enjoyed shooting the SKS & AR-15, when he was shooting some slugs through the Mossberg 500 SPX I got him to try the 3″ magnum shells and lol boy did it kick his ass. 😉 It’s just so much more powerful and a surprise to everyone, glad he was a good sport about it. Sarah preferred the Ruger 10/22, not surprised there as Maggie likes that one too because of how easy it is to handle.

The AR-15 had a few failure to extract issues when those two were firing it, I never experienced any issues myself but I didn’t shoot much… I’ll give the AR more love next time I’m out.

Anyway it was a good range day, the weather was beautiful though I got sunburn on my face and arms. Ahh well that’s the price I knew I would pay and I’d do it again, I love shooting!
