Tiring

So today Maggie, Brandon and I went to Buffalo to do some cross border shopping and damn was it tiring! We left the house at around 7:30AM like we normally do however that wasn’t early enough, when we hit the Queenston Lewiston crossing traffic was backed up for kilometers. 🙁

Haha yeah I know I’m not suppose to play with my phone while driving but everyone else was doing it. 😉 If you think that’s bad…

Brandon was getting a but fussy (understandable) so I let him sit on my lap while we were inching along for about 10 minutes… I think in that time we maybe moved 10′ anyway he loved it and I thought it was funny. For the record I would not allow him normally to do that but seeing as how we were stuck for an hour and a half already in bumper to bumper traffic I figure it couldn’t hurt.

Just before we hit the border Brandon was playing with Maggie’s phone and I thought it was cute…

Once we got into the US we went to the Fashion Outlets mall and at the cafeteria, I saw an old friend, Mike Velasco! Man it was good to see the guy, he was there with his family and the time we talked must have been like 10 years ago! We exchanged some greetings and I got his number, I’ll give him a shout tomorrow to catch up on old times as he was one of my best friends but we kind of grew apart.

After lunch I took Brandon to the Walmart next to the outlet mall to let Maggie shop in peace and to pick up some toys for the boy, lol he loves his Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! We met up with Maggie afterwards and went to our US post office box so she could pick up a purse then went home.

The drive through the Canadian border was a breeze and even though there’s a detour near the Burlington sky bridge, it didn’t add much time to our commute and we got back late afternoon. Now the family is just relaxing, I have a bit of a headache as I didn’t get to drink enough and am a bit dehydrated but Maggie and Brandon had fun and that’s all I care about. 🙂
