Busy day!

The day started off early as I picked Neil up at 8AM to go to Silverdale to do some shooting.  Despite being friends with Neil for years I’ve never been able to drag him out to play airsoft or go shooting, two activities I know he’d enjoy but the stars aligned and yeah we went to the range. He started off pretty rough and didn’t shoot the rifles very well but surprisingly did alright with the Glock 17!  In fact when we were shooting my metal plate, he was able to hit it twice (two separate occasions, not in one go) which was pretty darn impressive!  Most newbs go 0/10 because once they start shooting pistols, they develop the flinch but Neil did pretty well.

Haha his rifle/shotgun work was funny but meh it comes with practice…  It wasn’t particularly cold but it was pretty windy which made things difficult and we called it a day around 11:30AM.  Made a quick detour to Brayden’s place to drop off some ammo and other goodies then I took Neil home.

In the afternoon I did a thorough cleaning of all my guns, I don’t think I’ll be going to the range in the next couple of weeks so yeah I took the opportunity to really clean out the barrels for storage.

At 5:30PM, I left the house to go see the Leafs with a publisher and it was fun.  This time around we got platinum seats (I was 5 rows up from the glass) and we had a room under with free food and stuff and lol even though I don’t like the home town team, I went for the experience.

The leafs were thoroughly outplayed by St. Louis everywhere and the 6-1 score doesn’t even reflect how poorly the Leafs were but I guess they’re tanking to get a better chance at that first round pic right…

Can’t wait, Maggie and Brandon will be back at 7:30PM and I’m counting down the hours!
