So today I came home to a new toy…

Haha I was greeted to my Daniel Defense MK18 rifle! 😀  It’s a 2013 model and the gun is in near mint condition aside from some wear on the shell deflector and as you can guess I immediately pulled my RS parts from my Systema PTW MK18 to put on this gun…  Can’t wait to zero the Elcan SpecterDR, finally it’s on something worthy.  I don’t like the Magpul MOE stock and it’ll be the first thing I swap out but I think I’ll leave everything else as is.  Maybe down the road I’ll buy an ambi mag release but I’m right handed so there’s no rush on that, oh I did also move the Magpul BAD lever (not pictured) from the Norinco so I’ll have to get another to put back on the CQ-A.

The Norinco served me just fine but the workmanship on this Daniel Defense MK18 is heads and shoulders above that thing but then again I could buy 3 Chinese guns for the retail price of this one.  I’ll keep the CQ-A in the safe but moving forward this is going to be my range AR-15 for sure. 😀
