So this morning I went to visit my grandmother in her nursing home and man is that place depressing… She’s 94 years old and dementia has stolen her mind, she vaguely recognizes me but when I explain that I’m her grandson and that Brandon is her great grandson at least I can see the joy in her eyes. The whole family went, we were there for about an hour and the conversation repeated every 5 minutes or so but that’s fine I was just happy we could be there with her. Before the visiting her though we made a quick stop at Wal-Mart to buy a photo frame and gave her a picture of Brandon to put by her bed side.
She doesn’t live too far from me so I think I’m going to visit her more often, an hour a week is not too much to ask and who knows how much longer she’ll be with us so if I can give her some happiness by visiting her, I will.
Other than that we stuck around the house all day. I cleaned the garage pretty well so now I can park either car in there which is nice (the Mini will spend most of the time sheltered) and we played with Slinky.
Brandon was very proud that Slinky chose him to sleep on when we were downstairs. 🙂 Ahh those two, it was a good weekend.
very cute picture! 🙂
