Good shooting!

So today I took a friend Andrew to the range and what a good day!  The weather was absolutely perfect, it was just above freezing and with the sun out in force, it was very pleasant.  Andrew did as well as I’d expect from a newbie, lol some of his pistol shots were a foot or more below the target but meh that’s how it always starts with beginners, I can attest to that.  Myself on the weekend, I swapped the stock 5.5 lbs connector with a 3.5 lbs one and it certainly tightened my groupings up nicely.  LOL maybe it’s cheating but whatever it works and that’s all that matters.  I also shot very well with the HK P30L, lol I don’t know what I’ve changed in the last two outings but it just seems to click well for me now so woo!

Shooting metal is a lot of fun and it was a snap to hit the 8″ plate, the 4″ is still challenging but I’m getting better.  Andrew shot the 1911 & P30 pretty well though he preferred the Glock.  After a few hours at the action range shooting the various guns, I took him to the 200 yard range to shoot the metal gong and he did well there too.  To be fair it’s pretty easy with an AR like the Daniel Defense MK18 but lol it’s just a tool and it’s only as good as the user.

We wrapped things up at 1 then came home, traffic was good and I got back just before 3pm.  After dropping the stuff off at home, I went to the walk in clinic to get my ankle checked out.  The doctor said he doesn’t think it’s broken, probably just a strain but recommended an xray just in case which I’ll do tomorrow.

It was a fun long weekend, too bad it’s over and I have to go back to work tomorrow haha.
