Yesterday Megan’s dog Ava died after being ill on the weekend and while that’s tragic enough, there’s news that someone has been leaving out poisonous dog treats around the city…

According to police, the dog and its owner were out for a walk in the Shawbridge Blvd. and Gidleigh Park Cres. area on Nov. 25 when the dog stopped and ate something by a mailbox. Later that day, the dog became “violently ill” and was too weak to walk by the next morning. The owners took the dog to a veterinarian, who said the dog’s symptoms resembled glycol poisoning. The dog’s condition deteriorated to the point that she was euthanized Friday.

Megan and Frank are going through a tough time, but if their dog was poisoned I hope that they’ll be able to assist in catching whomever did this.
