So yesterday I went to Silverdale to have some fun at the competition range with Henry, Marcia and one of her friends Stuart. Stuart is a 26 year serving member of the CF and he had some pretty awesome toys.
Just some of the ARs, I brought my Norinco CQ-A out to let Marcia try, she’s in the market for a rifle but doesn’t want to spend that much money and I thought she’d like to see one before deciding what to do. We set up four targets with various “cover” and shooting positions then ran it a few times each. I knelt for the first few attempts but man it sucks when you’re on gravel and didn’t bring the knee pads!
It was a lot of fun and we shot until around 11:30 then Marcia, her friend and Henry called it a day, I continued to shoot a bit more and left just after noon. I dropped by Lanz, the range store before leaving to pick up some 45 ACP ammo and bumped into Matt, his gf and Milan. They were suppose to meet us earlier but lol kids don’t like to get up early. 😉 I came home, cleaned my stuff and called it a day by spending time with the boy. A lot of fun and I’m glad I went because the weather today sucks!
The first snow storm of the season hit Toronto last night and while it only brought about 5cm of snow, it was the wet heavy stuff which sucks when you have to shovel it.
After doing the first half with a shovel and killing myself because everything was freaking heavy, I took out the snow blower and made short work of the rest of it. One of my neighbors broke his shovel so I cleared his driveway as well and to reward myself…
I went for a burrito! 😀 It’s not exactly close but there’s a Burrito Boyz at Warden just south of Eglinton, i haven’t had one in around two weeks and was really jonsing for it so yeah I got one and it was great. Typically I get a large but I’m going to try and cut down on my meat intake next year and started my next step with a small steak burrito instead of a large.
Not sure what I’ll do the rest of the afternoon maybe I’ll just play some old PS3 games but yeah I’m relaxing and enjoying every moment of it. 🙂
