No kid!

So Brandon is having a weekend with grandma and since I figure Maggie would like to go shopping, we went to Niagra Falls to spend the weekend.

LOL the reason for the dinosaurs is because we walked by the dino mini golf putting range and I thought Brandon would love to see some photos, haha I know it’s only a matter of time before I take him there. 🙂  We walked around the for a bit but couldn’t get up close to the falls because of the fireworks show, we didn’t stay near the water to watch but rather saw some of the show from afar as Maggie and I had tickets to see the new Independence Day movie at 10:25pm.  I’m pretty happy with how the photos turned out considering the time and lack of light, the Canon EF 24-105 F/4L does work pretty well in low light despite the F/4 aperture size.

The movie was pretty good, a bit quicker than the original but with a similar premise and we enjoyed it!  I was surprised that the theater wasn’t busier I’d guesstimate that it was only 1/3rd filled to capacity.

The next morning Maggie and I went to the Fashion Outlets mall so she could do her thing and so I could sit and play with my phone.

Maggie and the other ladies are waiting in line for the discount card (CAA membership is one qualifying factor), we had lunch at the mall and ran into Helene.  Stephen told me earlier in the week that she would be visiting Buffalo to buy some stuff but I didn’t actually think our paths would cross.  We walked around a bit then together then Helene had to go with her friends and it was great to see her. 🙂

We left around 2pm and got home just before 4, Maggie went to get her nails done while I relaxed at home, we went out for dinner at the spicy food place and then a nice drive.  We’re both pretty beat so I think I’m going to be turning in shortly, Brandon comes home tomorrow morning (so my mom can go play mah jong) and I’ll figure out something to do with him because Maggie has to go into the office.

It was nice to be away from Brandon but I have to admit, I missed him quite a bit and can’t wait to see him tomorrow.
