So this weekend I was super productive.  In addition to painting my bathroom and replacing the toilet, I replaced the light fixture and…  

The light is level BUT MY GOD DAMN MEDICINE CABINET IS NOT!!!  Oh man that pissed me off big time…  Since changing the toilet was so easy, I replaced the one in the upstairs bathroom too and I need a pooping stool now since they’re both pretty tall.

Yesterday Maggie and I went to watch the movie Won’t you be my neighbor, a documentary on the life and times of Fred Rogers at the Kingway theater in Etobicoke.  An independent place, our theater only had like 20 seats, we met some nice seniors who worked in the film industry specifically in children’s shows and it was fun to chat with them.  The movie itself was wonderful, I remember Mr. Rogers Neighborhood when I was young and it brought back a lot of memories.  I’m not religious but man Fred Rogers does seem to be the second coming of Jesus, a genuinely nice man both on TV and in his personal life, he really did care about the well being of children.

There were some really sad parts, I didn’t cry but it was pretty close haha.  We could use more people like him around these days and I agree that I’m concerned with what the children are watching as well.  Brandon’s not so bad, he doesn’t watch TV during the week but still there’s way too much screen time for most kids and it just dumbs them down.  If you grew up with Mr. Rogers, it’s worth a watch he really was a great man.

Today we didn’t do too much Maggie & Brandon went to play with one of Maggie’s friends and her daughter (I don’t really like that family so I stayed home) and I cleaned up the house as we need to do a better job at that.  A lot of work to do still, Maggie’s parents are coming to visit for a month and a half next week and there’s not a lot of time. 🙁

Sigh my long weekend is done and I gotta go back to work tomorrow oh well it’ll be good to get back in the grind.
