This was a pretty fun weekend and I certainly shot a lot of photos. Saturday evening I met up with Mario & Alan to go downtown to do some night photography and boy was it fun. I’m very new to this type of thing and was in manual mode to get the exposure I wanted rather than what the camera thought was correct.
We started at Yonge & Bloor and walked down to city hall (though the last picture was from elsewhere). I really enjoyed shooting the signs and while the photos are pretty noisy I thought it was acceptable at least for online viewing. In the last photo we went to Sheldon Lookout and got a great view of the city. Here I was stupid, I packed my tripod into the trunk of the Prius and left it there because I figure I’d be fine with the monopod ugh what a mistake. Sigh live and learn right but it was fun and I can’t wait to do it again.
Today after having pho for lunch, we went to the Scarborough bluffs to feed the birds and man Brandon had a lot of fun. It was much cooler by the water, so much so that after a bit Maggie decided to wait in the car while Brandon and I went for a bike ride/walk.
There were a ton of birds so I tried to track the gulls and man it’s harder than it looks! I particularly liked the photo of Brandon looking at the lake standing by the tree, it’s as if he’s pondering the world’s problems.
The rest of the day we hung around the house which is exactly what my sore feet wanted.
